New Year, New Possibilities
Even people with dissociative identity disorder make New Year’s resolutions! If you’re still thinking about yours, consider joining Dissociative Writers workshops as you turn over a new leaf!
In the meantime, DW has some new things to share in 2024:
Wait till you see our new, third, annual Creative Healing Anthology! As always, it’s beautifully done with powerful writing from people like you. Look for it in the middle of January, in a special newsletter to introduce it and on our DW website (www.dissociativewriters.com) for download.
Our new status as a nonprofit is just around the corner. We are officially registered in the state of New Mexico and are meeting with our lawyer this Friday to initiate paperwork for the IRS. Thank you to Debby, gabby, and Stephanie, our new Board members … and thank you for YOUR donations that made this happen!
Six active members of DW are leading workshops at the 2024 Healing Together Conference. Gabby’s workshop is Healing from Toxic Shame, Sharri’s is Rising Above Illusions: Decoding Ongoing Contact and Demything Perpetrator Groups’ Power in RA/MC , Kim’s is Let’s Get Real - Coping with the Tough Stuff: Improving Internal Communication and Self-Compassion, Kim, Suritaplus, and Gymmie are leading Healing Words, and Lyn’s workshop is Where Were You, God? We hope you’ll consider joining this wonderful event, February 16-18, either in person or online. For more information, or to register, click here.
Lyn will offer a new presentation, online, at An Infinite Mind Speaker Series, on Sunday, March 10, called Memoir 101 for Dissociative Writers. If you’ve been interested in taking the 6-week class, but haven’t been able to, this is a great way to get the condensed version. If you’ve taken the class, it’s a good refresher. For the An Infinite Mind presentation, register here. For the full version, register for the class now on our DW website.
With any luck, Lyn will finish her new book, It’s Not About Forgiving, It’s About Healing: A Workbook for Survivors with Dissociative Disorders, this year and will work with an editor and publisher toward publication. Keep your fingers crossed!
Back to resolutions, mine is … you guessed it … eat healthy, exercise, lose weight, and balance my life, lol! This time, it will really work! How about you? What do you want to change in 2024? How do you want to heal? What do you want to accomplish? You made it through the holidays, now you can tackle anything!
Happy New Year!
