Welcome & Thank You!

In every organization, there are comings and goings. As Dissociative Writers takes steady steps to become a nonprofit, some of us are coming and some of us are going. We are grateful for the people who help keep the gears running behind the scenes, including gabby who is our secretary, Debby who is our treasurer, Kim, Sharri, and JJ who are our facilitators, Peter who is our substitute facilitator, and so many of you who are our writers. We are happy all of you are staying put! Today, I want to acknowledge one person who is coming and one person who is going, both of whom have kept or will continue to keep our ship on course.

Welcome to Stephanie!

Welcome, Stephanie!

Stephanie’s jumping into DW’s Core Team with both feet!

Stephanie is our new administrative services provider. If you’re new to Dissociative Writers, Stephanie is the person who will send you a welcome email and a set of guidelines. She’ll be the one to keep the Groupeasy Calendar up to date and she’ll upload documents as needed. If you have a question, Stephanie’s the person to ask. If she doesn’t have the answer, she’ll find it!

Stephanie is a subscriber to Dissociative Writers and brings to our table considerable experience in marketing and photography. She hales from Philadelphia (my hometown!) and has joined our DW Core Team. As an all-volunteer organization, DW has no paid employees. Stephanie, however, will be doing this work for us as an independent contractor. We’re thrilled to bring Stephanie on board, and we hope you are too! Welcome, Stephanie!

Thank You to Sharon!

Thank You, Sharon!

Looks like Sharon’s taking good advantage of her free time!

An old saying says, “Farewell means never having to say goodbye!” (If there isn’t an old saying, there is now!) Sharon, also a subscriber to DW, volunteered to be our admin for about a year and a half. She walked us through our transition to a subscription basis and our move to Groupeasy, and she even took a successful stint at facilitating the writing-in-place workshop.

Sharon is always positive, prompt, and upbeat, but you know she’ll give you her honest feedback if asked — what a gift! Now, Sharon is stepping back to appreciate her recent move to Arizona. “I’ll still be a part of Dissociative Writers,” she says, so you may see her show up at a workshop sometime soon! Farewell, Sharon and thank you!

Transforming Trauma into Healing

Your donation will get us closer to our goal!

$2,241 as of October 23, 2023

If you are a newsletter reader, but not a Dissociative Writers subscriber, you, too, can give to our nonprofit campaign! Our donations have ranged from $10 to $200 and ALL are appreciated! By giving to DW Writes On!, you are helping to sustain this important work long term. We call this a one time only fundraiser because we believe we can meet our everyday needs through our subscription fees. However, working with a lawyer to navigate the IRS costs us more than our subscription fees can provide. Be a part of this movement of writers who are transforming their trauma into healing. Give today!
